For more than 26 years, Able Home Health Care has served seniors and families throughout eastern North Carolina with compassion, integrity, and reliability. What began as a commitment to provide quality in-home care has grown into a trusted presence across Nash, Edgecombe, Halifax, Northampton, and Wilson counties.

Through decades of hands-on experience, we have built strong relationships with patients, families, healthcare providers, and community partners. Our longevity reflects not only operational stability but also a deep understanding of the real challenges seniors and caregivers face each day.

Built on Experience, Driven by Compassion

Able Home Health Care Senior Services, Inc. (AHHCSS) was created as a natural extension of this legacy. Over the years, we recognized that many seniors needed support beyond what insurance, Medicaid, Medicare, and traditional aging programs could provide.

Rather than allowing vulnerable individuals to fall through the cracks, we expanded our mission.

AHHCSS bridges those gaps—providing essential, non-reimbursable services that strengthen families and protect independence.

Our Journey of Service

1999
Able Home Health Care is established with a mission to provide compassionate, reliable in-home care to seniors and families across eastern North Carolina.

2000–2010
Expanded services throughout Nash, Edgecombe, Halifax, Northampton, and Wilson counties, building trusted relationships with families, providers, and community leaders.

2010–2020
Strengthened compliance systems, caregiver training, and operational infrastructure — serving hundreds of seniors annually with dignity and accountability.

2023–Present
Recognizing growing unmet needs beyond reimbursable care, Able Home Health Care Senior Services, Inc. (AHHCSS) was formed as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit to expand support for vulnerable seniors and family caregivers.
