What began as a commitment to quality in-home care has grown into a respected and dependable organization serving Nash, Edgecombe, Halifax, Northampton, and Wilson counties.

For decades, we have walked alongside families during some of life’s most vulnerable moments — helping seniors remain safe, cared for, independent, and connected in the comfort of their own homes.

Able Home Health Care Senior Services, Inc. (AHHCSS, Inc.) was created as a natural extension of this 26-year legacy of care.

Over time, we recognized a growing reality: many seniors and caregivers needed support beyond what insurance, Medicaid, Medicare, and traditional aging programs could provide.

Families were struggling with:

• Transportation barriers
• Food insecurity
• Caregiver exhaustion
• Housing instability
• Isolation and lack of support

Too often, these unmet needs place vulnerable seniors at risk of hospitalization, institutionalization, or losing the ability to remain safely at home.

We knew compassion could not end where reimbursement ended.

That is why AHHCSS, Inc. was established — to help bridge those gaps through extended support services that strengthen seniors, support families, and stabilize communities.

Our Journey of Service

1999

Able Home Health Care, LLC was established with a mission to provide compassionate, reliable in-home care to seniors and families throughout eastern North Carolina.

2000–2010

Expanded services throughout Nash, Edgecombe, Halifax, Northampton, and Wilson counties while building trusted relationships with families, healthcare providers, and community leaders.

2010–2020

Strengthened compliance systems, caregiver training, operational infrastructure, and community partnerships — serving hundreds of seniors annually with professionalism, dignity, and accountability.

2023–Present

Recognizing the growing unmet needs beyond reimbursable healthcare services, Able Home Health Care Senior Services, Inc. (AHHCSS, Inc.) was established as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to expanding support for vulnerable seniors and family caregivers.

Today, we remain committed to building stronger, healthier, and more stable communities throughout eastern North Carolina.
