For more than 26 years, Able Home Health Care has been a trusted presence in eastern North Carolina. Through Able Home Health Care Senior Services, Inc. (AHHCSS), we are expanding care to address unmet needs that insurance and traditional programs cannot cover.
Our impact reaches seniors, adults with disabilities, and family caregivers across Nash, Edgecombe, Halifax, Northampton, and Wilson counties — strengthening households and preserving independence in some of our region’s most vulnerable communities.
Measurable Outcomes
Through the Senior Extended Services Project, AHHCSS is committed to delivering meaningful, measurable results:
These outcomes represent more than numbers — they represent fewer emergency room visits, reduced caregiver burnout, safer homes, and seniors maintaining dignity and independence.
Strengthening Rural Communities
In rural counties, access to transportation, nutrition, and supportive care can determine whether a senior thrives at home or faces a crisis. By addressing these gaps early, AHHCSS helps:
Because our nonprofit is built on a 26-year, established, trusted foundation, we can respond efficiently, responsibly, and with accountability.
A Ripple Effect of Care
When a senior remains safely at home, the impact extends far beyond the individual. Families experience relief, communities grow stronger, and healthcare systems face less strain. Every extended service we provide creates a ripple effect of stability and hope.
Together with our donors, partners, and community supporters, AHHCSS continues to deliver Hope, Help, and Home — strengthening lives and communities one household at a time.
26 Years of Trusted Care — And Growing
For more than 26 years, Able Home Health Care has served seniors and families throughout eastern North Carolina with compassion, integrity, and reliability. What began as a commitment to provide quality in-home care has grown into a trusted presence across Nash, Edgecombe, Halifax, Northampton, and Wilson counties.
Through decades of hands-on experience, we have built strong relationships with patients, families, healthcare providers, and community partners. Our longevity reflects not only operational stability but also a deep understanding of the real challenges seniors and caregivers face each day.
Built on Experience, Driven by Compassion
Able Home Health Care Senior Services, Inc. (AHHCSS) was created as a natural extension of this legacy. Over the years, we recognized that many seniors needed support beyond what insurance, Medicaid, Medicare, and traditional aging programs.
AHHCSS bridges those gaps—providing essential, non-reimbursable services that strengthen families and protect independence. Rather than allowing vulnerable individuals to fall through the cracks, we expanded our mission.
A Foundation of Trust and Accountability
Our 26-year history means:
We are not a new organization starting from scratch. We are a nonprofit built on a stable, trusted foundation—continuing a long-standing commitment to our community.
Continuing the Commitment
Our legacy is more than years in operation. It is measured in families served, seniors supported, crises prevented, and dignity preserved.
As we look toward the future, our commitment remains unchanged: to deliver Hope, Help, and Home for those who need it most.

2️⃣ Brief Founder’s Message
A Message from Our Founder
For more than 26 years, I have had the privilege of walking alongside seniors and families in our community. Through those years, we have seen firsthand the challenges that older adults face — not only medically, but in the everyday realities of transportation, nutrition, housing stability, and caregiver strain.
Able Home Health Care Senior Services, Inc. was born from a simple conviction: no senior should lose independence because essential support is out of reach.
This nonprofit represents the next chapter of a long-standing commitment to our community. It allows us to extend care beyond insurance limitations and respond compassionately when families need it most.
Thank you for believing in this mission and helping us continue delivering Hope, Help, and Home.
3️⃣ More Emotionally Driven Version (Legacy Page Style)
Our Story of Compassion
FBut we also saw something else — gaps. Gaps between what insurance covers and what real life requires. A missed ride to a doctor’s appointment. An empty refrigerator at the end of the month. A caregiver on the edge of exhaustion.
We could not ignore those gaps.
Able Home Health Care Senior Services, Inc. was created so that compassion would not stop where reimbursement ends. It exists so seniors can age with dignity, families can breathe easier, and communities can stand stronger.
This is more than service. It is a responsibility. It is a legacy. It is love in action.

Your generosity helps vulnerable seniors remain safe, stable, and cared for in their own homes. Join us in protecting seniors and supporting family caregivers across rural North Carolina.
