For more than 26 years, Able Home Health Care, LLC has been a trusted source of compassionate in-home care throughout eastern North Carolina. Through Able Home Health Care Senior Services, Inc. (AHHCSS, Inc.), we are expanding that mission to address the critical unmet needs that insurance, Medicaid, Medicare, and many traditional programs often leave behind.

Our impact reaches seniors, adults with disabilities, and family caregivers throughout Nash, Edgecombe, Halifax, Northampton, and Wilson counties — helping preserve independence, strengthen families, and improve stability within some of our region’s most vulnerable rural communities.

Measurable Impact

Through the Senior Citizen and Family Stabilization Project, AHHCSS, Inc. is committed to delivering meaningful and measurable results that improve lives and strengthen communities.

Our goals include:

• Serving 100+ seniors annually
• Providing 450+ units of essential extended support services
• Achieving 90% client satisfaction
• Reducing preventable hospitalizations by 20–30%
• Helping 85% of participants remain safely at home
• Training caregivers and community workers in vulnerable adult care
• Expanding outreach through a Peer Educator Model

Over the years, we recognized that many seniors and caregivers needed support beyond what Medicaid, Medicare, insurance programs, and traditional aging services could provide.

Too often, families were forced to face impossible choices because essential services such as transportation, nutrition support, caregiver relief, housing stability, and companion care were simply unavailable or uncovered.

AHHCSS, Inc. was created to help bridge those gaps by providing compassionate, non-reimbursable support services that protect independence, strengthen families, and improve quality of life.

We believe no seniors should fall through the cracks simply because help is out of reach.
